浙江舟山西堠门跨海大桥主桥为两跨连续钢箱梁悬索桥，主跨径1650米，居当时悬索桥世界第二、国内第一，钢箱梁长度为世界第一。大桥开创了我国在台风区宽阔海面建造特大跨径钢箱梁悬索桥的先例，在国内首次采用直升机架设先导索。西堠门跨海大桥荣获国际桥梁大会古斯塔夫.林德撒尔奖、中国建设工程鲁班奖、中国土木工程詹天佑奖。

Bridge in Zhejiang Province
is a two-span continuous steel box girder suspension bridge with a main span of
1650m. It occupied the second place of its kind in the world and the first in China at that
time, and the first in the world in the length of steel box girder. The Bridge
has set a precedent for the construction of long span steel box girder
suspension bridges in the wide sea surface of typhoon area in China, and the helicopter guided cable has been
used for the first time in China.
Xihoumen Sea-crossing Bridge
was awarded the Gustav Lindthal Prize in International Bridge Congress, the
Luban Prize in China Construction Engineering and the Zhan Tianyou Prize in
China Civil Engineering.
