occupied the first place of the cable-stayed bridge in the world at that time,
and set four world records for the largest main span, the highest main pylon,
the longest cable and the largest pile group foundation. Suzhou-Nantong Yangtze
River Highway Bridge was awarded the highest international bridge award-George
Richardson Award, together with the American Association of Civil Engineers
Outstanding Achievement Award, Luban Award for China Construction Project, Zhan
Tianyou Award for China Civil Engineering, National Gold Award for Quality
Engineering, and the First Prize for National Science and Technology Progress.
